Welcome to the DANB examination tutorial. This tutorial has been developed especially for those people who have never taken a computerized examination. It will allow you to experience the different processes that are available to help you navigate through the test and show you different methods to answer test questions on the computer.

This tutorial is presented in two parts.

Guided Tour - The Pearson VUE Corporation has developed this generic tutorial to acquaint the test taker with the various functions and possible features that their company has available for computerized testing.
Demo Test - This is specific to the DANB tests and includes the features we have chosen to incorporate into our examinations.

We suggest that you start with the "Guided Tour" just to acquaint yourself with some of the features of computerized testing. Once you have experienced and practiced these features, go to the DANB "Demo Test" so that you know what to expect when you arrive at a Pearson Professional Center (PPC). Allow yourself to become familiar with the features you will experience when you take a DANB test on computer.

When you are testing, remember to relax and to breathe.

Save this file to your hard disk first.
Depending on your browser settings, you may be asked whether to save the file or open it. DANB suggests saving the file to your system before extracting the contents.

Make sure you make note of where on your system you are saving this file.
If you download the file and can not find it afterwards, do a search of your system for the file "DANBTutorial.exe"

This file is a self-extracting archive.
All of the files you need to run the DANB tutorial are contained in this file.
Once you locate the downloaded file on your system, double click it to begin extraction.
A "WinZip Self-Extractor" dialog box will open and prompt you to extract the files.
The default location for the tutorial to be placed is "C:\DANBTutorial". The tutorial will require slightly more than 6MB of space on your system.
If you wish to place the files in a different directory, feel free to specify one in the "Unzip to folder" textbox.
Once you are comfortable with the destination of our tutorial on your system, click the "Unzip" button and wait for extraction to finish.
A message dialog should pop up confirming that "50 file(s) unzipped successfully".
You can delete the installation archive (DANBTutorial.exe) after the files are extracted.

All tutorial files are in one directory.
Navigate to the directory "C:\DANBTutorial" (or whichever directory you chose) and double click the file "DemoTest.exe"
This will begin the tutorial. Simply follow the above instructions.
Once you are finished with the DANB Tutorial, you can uninstall it by simply deleting the directory in which you placed the files.
Be aware that you may not want to delete any directory that contains files in addition to the DANB Tutorial.
